Q:  How do I apply for free and reduced lunch for my student?

A:  To apply for free or reduced price lunches, fill out the application posted on the school district food services page and return it to the secretary at your student’s school. If you have any questions please contact Heidi Garcia, the Food Services Bookkeeper.

Q:  How do I communicate a message to my student during the day?
 
A:  In order to protect the learning environment, we try to minimize interruptions to the classroom. Please call the main office at 541-667-6700 and we will contact the teacher during a break.

Q:  How do I contact the bus company?
 
A:  The Hermiston School District contracts with the Mid-Columbia Bus Company. Their phone number is 541-567-0551. Mid-Co is also available on-line at www.midcobus.com.
 
Q:  Where do I go if I have a concern?
 
A;  The best advice is to contact the closest source. For instance, if your concern is about homework, leave a message for the teacher. If you are concerned with a playground safety issue, call the principal. If you are unsure, call the main office at 541-667-6700 and we will direct your call to the appropriate individual.
