A Whale of an Assembly!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

You are invited to join us for our first Academic Assembly of the year, hosted by our very generous PTO. We will be learning all about whales as part of the Oregon Coast Aquarium Outreach Program this year. We were one of a very few schools fortunate enough to get them scheduled, so we are thrilled!

The assemblies will be on Tuesday, November 6th in the gym.

K-2 will be from 12:20-1:10. Please arrive by 12:10 for seating after checking in with the office for a green visitor's sticker first.  You will need to come through the lunchroom to get to the gym instead of through the school since classes will be moving through the hallway at that time too.

Grades 3-5 will be from 1:20-2:10. Please arrive to the lunchroom after checking into the office and getting a green visitor sticker by 1:15 to be seated after the K-2 students return to class and 3-5 students are seated.

There will be no late seating or talking allowed during the assembly. Please plan to take younger siblings out of the assembly if they are not able to engage with the learning process.

Parents will be asked to dismiss from gym door and students will only be dismissed from class as usual so please do not plan to take your child from the assembly prior to the 2:30 dismissal that day for the safety of all.

Thank you for understanding the safety procedures and joining us in this exceptional experience!

Keep Shining,
Dr. Christie M. Petersen
